And this lead to many kinds of laptops available at general market.&lt;br /&gt;In order to do a better search and compare, it is worthy to -first- categorize or classify the laptops available. &lt;br /&gt;This categorization or classification is not an easy process, anyway. But at this blog, we will try to simplify it with some simple categories or classes.&lt;br /&gt;The categories are based on:&lt;br /&gt;1. Price ranges;&lt;br /&gt;2. Operating system;&lt;br /&gt;3. Main features;&lt;br /&gt;4. Manufactures.&lt;br /&gt;With these classification, the laptops will be better known and compared. So, one will have clues on comparing laptops as he / she will likely compare an 'orange laptop' to other 'orange laptops'. Laptop become more and more popular as people become more and more in mobility.&lt;br /&gt;As becoming more mobile, people need more simplicity in everything: gadget, tools, vehicle, etc. But, simplicity does not mean less power or even less functionality. Even more, simplicity means more power and more functionilities. Simplicity becomes a new trend must be fulfilled in every field of human life.&lt;br /&gt;Simplicity for short, is oftenly associated to the smaller size, easier process or activity, and -usually but not always- cheaper price.&lt;br /&gt;Those kind of association has led to better-designed and well-implemented technology. And unfortunately this could lead to higher prices.&lt;br /&gt;The same phenomena applies to the computing world also. Computing world usually focuses on: hardware, software, and brainware. Simplicity in hardware has led to smaller computer parts -and even smaller computer itself. Some instances are: smaller mainframe computer, smaller PCs, smaller scanner and printer, and of course the existence of laptop or notebook.&lt;br /&gt;Laptop gains more and more popularity because people getting more and more aware of the powers of laptop. These powers -some of them- come from:&lt;br /&gt;1. Size or dimension;&lt;br /&gt;2. Design;&lt;br /&gt;3. Weight; these three things conforming mobility.&lt;br /&gt;4. Features planted;&lt;br /&gt;5. Reliability or capacity;&lt;br /&gt;6. Price;&lt;br /&gt;7. Personal pride.&lt;br /&gt;It is generally known that laptop has been preferred and chosen as the combination of these factors. Each user will try or has their unique preferences as they try to formulate the perfectest combination of these factors, simply just to best suit their unique conditions. These leads to segmented market for laptop producers or manufacturers.&lt;br /&gt;These segmented market and also the wide market has influenced manufacturers to produce or provide the wider kind of products (laptops) to battle for the wider market shares. Sometimes, the segmented market blurs for the user (market) sometimes willingly to pay more prices for laptop with higher specification above their today needs or ability to pay.&lt;br /&gt;It is clear that some user want better laptops beyond their needs and abilities to pay, while on the other side, the producers struggle to own wider market shares on every segment available. &lt;br /&gt;These constitute never ending efforts at the both sides: producers (providers) and consumers (users). The efforts focus on a conquer (quest) for better laptop.
